Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Mid Level Diesel Technician in Dallas, TX to perform maintenance and repair on heavy-duty vehicles. You will work first shift, Monday–Friday, with weekends off, and benefit from a comprehensive package including health coverage and a 401(k) plan.

The role emphasizes safety and efficiency, with paid training, uniforms, PPE, and opportunities for merit-based pay increases. A CDL-A is preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of combined classroom and work experience in mechanical repair preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A, preferred (obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Carry out standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic tools when applicable.
• Identify root causes and replace defective components as instructed.
• Interact with customers/drivers to clarify the nature of the complaint and task.
• Ensure compliance with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines.
