Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Batesburg, South Carolina. The position offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for bonuses.

The role supports heavy-duty vehicle maintenance using state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools, with a Monday–Friday schedule and first shift hours. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, vocational/technical certification, basic tools, and CDL Class A preferred (must obtain CDL within 6 months).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification or Post Secondary degree preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Two+ years of combined classroom training and work experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer where applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and perform repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Performs facility maintenance duties.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Complies with safety, DOT, MOT and corporate guidelines.
