Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Orangeburg, SC to join a team that maintains heavy-duty vehicles with state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools. The role offers weekly pay and benefits, with opportunities for certification bonuses and quarterly incentive programs.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electronic issues, and work with customers to determine the nature of the work. A CDL is preferred, with training to obtain one if needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, brake and tire work.
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
