Job summary

Hunter Truck is hiring a Diesel Mechanic Technician for Butler, PA, on a daylight shift. Salary range is $27.00–$38.00 per hour, with a sign-on bonus opportunity for expert/master levels.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles, perform a range of repairs, and document work for warranty and customer records. Ideal candidates bring vocational/technical training and engine/driveline troubleshooting experience, plus electrical and A/C repair know-how.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical schooling or equivalent with 3+ years related experience.
• Must have engine and driveline troubleshooting experience.
• Electrical repair and air conditioning system experience preferred.
• OEM and vendor training passing grade required.
• Must have a good supply of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Perform minor to advanced repairs per repair order.
• Diagnose malfunction causes and complete repairs per supervisor.
• Assist other technicians on major repairs.
• Document all work performed and warranty information.
• Road test vehicles or refer to test technician when needed.
