Hunter Truck in Clearfield, PA is hiring a Diesel Mechanic Technician of all skill levels. You will perform repairs, diagnose malfunctions, and assist other technicians while coordinating with the parts department.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and continuous learning. Position offers Day, Afternoon, and Evening shifts, with openings at 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM and a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 for Expert and Master-Level technicians.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: We’re hiring technicians at all experience levels—from entry-level candidates with up to 3 years of experience to highly skilled professionals with 5+ years in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor to advanced repairs as outlined on the repair order.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete repairs as directed by a supervisor.
• Assist other technicians on major repairs.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag warranty or customer-requested parts.
• Examine vehicles for additional safety or service needs.
• Document all work performed and recommended, including warranty information.
• Road test vehicles as required or refer to test technician.
• Keep work area, service truck, and customer vehicles clean and organized.
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Stay current on manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, and adhere to Hunter Truck safety policies.
• Handle complex mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision.
• Performs electrical and/or air conditioning system repairs.
• Performs major component repairs and/or overhauls
