Job summary

Campbell Supply Company, the largest Freightliner dealership in the Tri-State Area, is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our South Brunswick, NJ location. This commission-based role offers the opportunity to directly control earnings through labor billed, with a documented pay structure and OEM training.

We provide hands-on mentorship, a family-driven culture, and ongoing OEM training to support career growth across seven NJ locations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a commercial truck or diesel technician.
• Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and service software.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, document, and repair engines, transmissions, and major components using company-supplied laptops and OEM software.
• Perform troubleshooting, service, preventative maintenance, and reconditioning.
• Follow proper warranty procedures and complete required documentation.
• Attend OEM and dealer training (online and in-person).
• Collaborate with drivers and co-workers to get the job done right.

What You’ll Do

• Sun–Wed, 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Wed–Sat, 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Mon–Thu, 1:00pm – 11:30pm
• Tue–Fri, 1:00pm – 11:30pm
• Mon–Fri, 7:00am – 3:30pm
• Mon–Fri, 3:30pm – 11:30pm

Pay & Benefits

Compensation Structure – Commission‑Based Pay Plan

This position offers a commission‑based pay plan, giving you the opportunity to directly control your earnings. Under this structure, you will earn 30% of the total labor dollars you bill each month.

How it Works (Example):

• If you bill $30,000 in labor in a given month
• Your pay for that month will be 30% of that amount
• $30,000 × 30% = $9,000 in earnings

This pay plan rewards productivity, efficiency, and high‑quality work. The more labor you bill, the more you earn—there is no cap on your monthly income potential.
