Job summary

Campbell Supply Company in South Brunswick, NJ is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician/Mechanic for full-time, on-site work. You will diagnose, repair, and service diesel engines and major components using OEM diagnostic tools in a fast-paced shop environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of diesel experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently. Salary ranges from $40,000 to $100,000 annually with benefits, paid time off, and ongoing training

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a diesel technician fleet mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, or equivalent.
  • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently diagnose and repair engine, aftertreatment, electrical, drivability, transmission, and chassis systems.
  • Experience using OEM diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools.
  • Formal diesel training and OEM certifications are preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and drivers, demonstrating teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, document, and repair engine, transmission, and major component fault codes using company-supplied laptops and OEM software while following proper warranty procedures.
  • Perform troubleshooting, service, and repair on all components as well as preventative maintenance and reconditioning.
  • Demonstrate well-developed technical and troubleshooting skills with effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Attend OEM and dealer training online as well as in-person when required.

Diesel Technician Duties:
