Transteck, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician for the Freightliner of York dealership. The role offers competitive pay with a salary range of $40,000 to $100,000 per year.

Must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, plus ability to provide your own hand tools. We provide state-of-the-art facilities, access to extensive training programs, and opportunities to advance technical and leadership skills through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Determine cause of malfunction; use approved troubleshooting guides, test drive, or refer to service manuals.
• Promote sales of labor, parts, and accessories to meet customer needs.
• Perform requested labor operations using recommended procedures, tools, and equipment.
• Document work performed and applicable technical information.
• Note additional needed work and obtain approval before proceeding.
• Clean all parts worked on and keep customer vehicles clean.
• Maintain housekeeping and organization of personal work area.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Order parts according to dealership procedures.
• Tag all warranty parts and return dirty cores to parts promptly.
• Perform repairs in a timely manner per manufacturer time guidelines.

We have an immediate opening for a Diesel Technician for our Freightliner of York dealership. Salary is $40,000-$100,000 per year.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license
• Must provide own hand tools

Position Preferences

• Commercial Driving License
• Heavy Duty truck experience
• Technical training school or equivalent experience

Technician Duties

• Determine cause of malfunction; use manufacturers approved troubleshooting guides, test drive, or refer to manufactures on-line or printed service manuals as necessary.
• Promote sales of labor, parts, and accessories to meet customer needs.
• Perform requested labor operations using recommended procedures, tools, and equipment.
• Document work performed and applicable technical information.
• Note additional needed work and obtain approval before proceeding.
• Clean all parts that have been worked on and keep customer vehicles clean.

• Order parts according to dealership procedures.
