Job summary

Advantage Truck Group in Shrewsbury, MA is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician for class 8 vehicle repair. You will work on buses, trucks, and heavy equipment, performing inspections, repairs, and diagnostics in a supportive team environment.

The role offers full-time hours with schedule from Monday to Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and rotating Saturdays, along with competitive hourly pay, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Technician experience
• Dealership experience preferred
• Certificate from technical or trade school preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• CDL and DOT health card preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, or overhaul buses, trucks, and heavy equipment.
• Test drive and Inspect vehicles.
• Diagnose malfunctions; consult with customers on diagnosis.
• Read and interpret diagnostic test results.
• Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, etc.
• Do routine maintenance, oil changes, battery check, lubricating equipment and parts.
• Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and attach system components.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, mechanical or electrical equipment.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run correctly after repair.
