Job summary

McMahon Truck Centers is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our service team in Indianapolis. You will diagnose, repair, and service diesel engines and related systems, working in a high-productivity shop with modern equipment. You are expected to review repair orders, plan procedures, and complete work safely and efficiently.

We value hands-on training, provide manufacturer education, and offer career advancement within a growing organization. A clean driving record and own tools are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of previous experience as a technician or mechanic in heavy equipment/trucks.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems.
• Must have own tools and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Review repair orders, observe vehicle in operation, determine malfunction, plan work procedures.
• Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined.
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to parts department.
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins for technicians.
• Properly complete the service and/or repairs for which trained as assigned by supervisor.
• Complete all work according to applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
• Utilize technical training as assigned by management.
• Maintain your assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
• Show the utmost courtesy to all guests, visitors and dealership personnel.
