Accel Talent Group in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join a high-performing shop where your hands-on skills are valued and rewarded. You’ll work on diesel trucks and heavy equipment with modern tools, receive ongoing paid training, and enjoy growth opportunities in a stable, supportive team.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of diesel or heavy equipment experience.
• Strong knowledge of diesel systems (engines, electrical, hydraulics, etc.).
• Ability to diagnose issues rather than just replacing parts.
• Basic computer skills for service documentation.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Trade school or certifications are a plus.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues quickly and accurately.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep fleets running efficiently.
• Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, and drivelines.
• Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and equipment to troubleshoot problems.
• Complete repairs efficiently and within standard times.
• Document work performed clearly and accurately.
• Support drivers with technical insight when needed.
• Handle road calls and emergency repairs (shop and mobile roles available).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with a team that values communication and accountability.
