Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician to maintain diesel equipment, complete inspections, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure safety and reliable service.

The role requires driving and operating in various weather and shop conditions with attention to recordkeeping and safety compliance. Pay rate is $34.15 per hour with opportunities for advancement through Casella's Career Pathways program and merit increases.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Class A, B, or C Driver’s license is required and must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 1-year experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and stationary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks based on driver pre and post trip inspections and follow directions from maintenance manager.
• Maintain diesel equipment by completing inspections and preventive maintenance and correct issues as needed.
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Run diagnostic tests on vehicles and test drive to diagnose malfunctions when necessary.
• Maintain all records for work and procedures and follow safety policies.
