Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician C to perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment. You’ll gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art fleets and support drivers on routes while maintaining high equipment reliability.

Under supervision, you will perform routine servicing, basic repairs, and inspections, and you’ll participate in ongoing training. This role offers a stable day shift with competitive wages and benefits in a safety‑mocused operational

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
• ASE Certification T8 PM is a plus but not required.
• 1–3 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Valid Driver’s License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a basic knowledge of a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems to perform basic preventive maintenance and some repair functions.
• Areas of equipment maintenance include preventive maintenance inspections, oil changes and fluids replenishment, tire changes, and light repairs.
• Able to conduct visual inspections to identify potential equipment issues and sources of malfunctions.
• Completes applicable Company training programs.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
