Job summary

Republic Services is offering a Technician Apprentice paid training program designed to train entry-level technicians over two years. The program starts with nine weeks of paid training in Dallas, Texas, followed by twenty-two months of on-the-job training across one of our 180 business units nationwide.

Apprentices learn electrical, air systems, hydraulics and preventive maintenance while earning a wage. Participants will have a dedicated mentor, housing accommodations in Dallas for eligible

Qualifications

• Must complete two-year Technician Apprenticeship program with on-the-job and classroom training.
• Must be committed to the two-year program and able to travel for 9 weeks of in-person training in Dallas, TX.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks.
• Learn electrical diagnosis, air conditioning, hydraulics, wheel end assemblies, air brakes and other systems.
• Receive mentorship and progress through levels up to Technician level.
