Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Class A, B, or C Driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge or experience in automotive, diesel or heavy equipment diagnostics and repair.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work as part of a team and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Gains an understanding of basic parts, processes, and maintenance techniques as instructed by knowledgeable technicians.
• Learns to complete work orders and perform maintenance tasks based on driver pre- and post-trip inspections in a timely manner.
• Performs duties in accordance with safety policies and regulations to ensure safe operations.
• Assists senior technicians in performing preventative maintenance inspections.
• Aids senior technicians on larger projects.
• Learns to identify defects that affect equipment availability and operator safety.
• Adjusts brakes, clutches, and other components of vehicles and equipment.
• Adjusts hydraulic pressures and components of equipment.
• Performs tire changes and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Builds, rebuilds or replaces hydraulic components and hoses.
• Learns to perform lockout/tagout procedures accurately.
• Participates in training and other learning opportunities to support growth and the company’s mission.
