Casella Waste is seeking an Diesel Technician Apprentice to learn hands-on maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment, focusing on preventative maintenance and safety. You will work alongside experienced technicians to build skills and progress through defined career paths.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A, B, or C driver's license.
• Basic knowledge or experience in automotive, diesel or heavy equipment diagnostics and repair.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic parts, processes, and maintenance techniques under supervision.
• Complete work orders and maintenance tasks based on inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safety and availability of equipment.
• Assist senior technicians on maintenance inspections and projects.
• Identify defects that affect equipment availability and operator safety.
• Assist with brake, clutch, hydraulic, and tire maintenance and repairs.
• Learn lockout/tagout procedures and safety best practices.
• Participate in training to expand knowledge of Casella Waste products and services.
