Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC Kenworth) is hiring a Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic to perform light maintenance under supervision and assist experienced technicians. This is the first training stage toward Service Technician status, with opportunities for on-the-job learning and career growth.

The position involves attending training sessions, maintaining an orderly workspace, and handling company tools properly, with duties as assigned by a supervisor. Safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• Performs maintenance type work under supervision.
• Assists Service Technician in heavy-duty truck repair.
• Attends training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and properly handles company tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance type work (e.g. preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, light electrical repairs, etc.) under supervision.
• Assists Service Technician in heavy-duty truck repair.
• Attends training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and properly handles company tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
