Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy‑duty trucks and trailers. You will perform diagnostics, develop repair plans, and execute repairs in a safe, efficient manner in our Cartersville, GA service location.

The role requires a high school diploma or trade/technical training, willingness to learn, and the ability to work unsupervised with flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Benefit details are provided with employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade/technical school or equivalent mechanic experience preferred.
• Willingness to expand knowledge through training programs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair heavy‑duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results; communicate plan to Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts and mechanical or electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Recommend additional TA services during inspection reviews.
• Ensure the safety of customers and employees.
