Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy‑duty trucks and trailers in a fast‑paced shop environment. You will perform diagnostics, develop repair plans with the Service Advisor, and complete repairs safely and efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, willingness to learn, and the ability to work unsupervised with flexible hours, including nights and some holidays. Tools owned by the technician are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy‑duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and develop repair plans.
• Repair malfunctioning parts and electrical/mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Recommend TA services during inspections.
• Ensure safety of customers and employees.
