Job summary

A. Duie Pyle, Inc. is looking for an aspiring Diesel Mechanic for the position of Diesel Technician Apprentice. This role provides structured training and mentorship, preparing candidates for a successful career in diesel maintenance.

Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, alongside experienced technicians. Candidates should be recent graduates or students in Diesel Technology, capable of working various shifts.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or active student enrolled in Diesel Technology program.
• Owns a set of basic tools.
• Willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on Class 8 trucks.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components and brakes.
• Diagnose necessary repairs to engine systems.
• Inspect and replace general components as required.

As a Diesel Technician Apprentice, you will participate in a training program designed to build the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in diesel maintenance. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will receive structured training, personalized mentorship, and hands‑on experience servicing Pyle's fleet. Upon successful completion of the program, you will advance to a Diesel Technician role, performing preventive maintenance and repairs on our trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general repairs on Class 8 trucks
• Troubleshoot and repair brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems, etc.
• Diagnose and perform necessary repairs to the engine, electrical, and exhaust after‑treatment systems
• Inspect and replace general components as required

Qualifications

• A recent graduate or active student currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program of study in Diesel Technology and/or a recent graduate
• Own a set of basic tools
• Willingness to learn and grow your abilities
• Ability to work all three shifts, as needed
