Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, and suspension components. You will work with state-of-the-art fleet, receive training on new technologies, and contribute to safe, reliable service for our drivers. The role requires 5–7 years of heavy-truck experience; ASE certifications are a plus.

CDL B preferred. A valid license is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform complex repair functions.
• Experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks (5–7 years).
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and refuse equipment on-site and on the road.
• Diagnose and repair chassis, hydraulic, electrical, braking, engine, and HVAC systems.
• Utilize scan tools and diagnostics to identify issues and complete company training programs.
