Ryder System, Inc. in Nazareth, PA is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and diagnose mechanical/electronic issues using diagnostic tools on a second shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Vocational or technical certification preferred
• Two years or more of related training/experience
• Basic tools required
• CDL Class A preferred; able to obtain CDL within 6 months
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check (last 3 years)

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer
• Identifies root cause of basic failures and perform repairs
• Replaces defective components as instructed
• Performs facility maintenance duties
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Complies with safety/DOT/MOT guidelines
• Performs other support duties to assist operations
