Job summary

Airoldi Brothers, Inc. in Kenosha, WI is seeking a diesel mechanic for the second shift who can inspect, diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy-duty engines and power systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, document work, and ensure safety compliance in a family-owned environment.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, 0–5 years’ diesel experience, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn. CDL or ability to obtain one is a plus; tools are beneficial.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED equivalence required.
  • Diesel mechanic with 0–5 years’ experience preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic aptitude and problem-solving skills expected.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL or ability to obtain CDL preferred.
  • Good communication and teamwork; dependable attendance is essential.
  • Owning your own hand tools is a plus; eagerness to learn and be professional.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems.
  • Overhaul and repair heavy-duty engines, clutches, transmissions, differentials, and power systems.
  • Install engines, transmissions, and other components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and complete reports per manufacturers’ requirements.
  • Operate equipment to demonstrate function or diagnose issues; document findings.
  • Replace worn or defective parts and rewire electrical systems as needed.
  • Align equipment; repair non-engine components; install parts or accessories.
  • Ensure safety and EPA compliance; complete work orders and proper sign-offs.
