Airoldi Brothers, Inc. is hiring a diesel mechanic for the 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM) in Rockford, IL. This full-time in-person role involves inspecting, repairing, and replacing heavy-duty truck components, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting work orders.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 0–5 years diesel experience, valid license, and strong diagnostic skills. CDL or ability to obtain is a plus; tools owned are beneficial.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Diesel mechanic experience 0–5 years.
• Strong diagnostic aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).
• CDL license or ability to obtain one.
• Solid communication skills and teamwork.
• Dependable and reliable attendance.
• Owning your own hand tools is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn and maintain professionalism.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems.
• Overhaul and repair engines, clutches, transmissions and power systems.
• Install engines, transmissions and other components.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Submit technical reports and documentation as required.
• Operate equipment to demonstrate function or diagnose issues.
• Repair worn or defective parts and rewire electrical systems.
