Airoldi Brothers, Inc. is hiring a diesel mechanic for the 2nd shift in Madison, WI.

You will inspect, diagnose, repair and overhaul heavy-duty engines and power systems, install components, and perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 0–5 years’ diesel experience, a valid driver's license (CDL a plus), and strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Requires a diesel mechanic background and 0–5 years of experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license; CDL is preferred or obtainable.
• Strong diagnostic aptitude and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems.
• Overhaul and repair heavy-duty engines, clutches, transmissions, differentials, and power systems.
• Install engines, transmissions, and other components.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Submit complete technical reports and documentation per manufacturers.
• Operate equipment to demonstrate function or malfunction.
• Replace worn or defective parts; rewire electrical systems.
• Align equipment or machinery; repair non-engine components.
• Install vehicle parts or accessories; troubleshoot system operation.
• Comply with safety and EPA regulations and internal controls.
• Complete work orders timely with accurate labor and parts entries.
