Job summary

Airoldi Brothers, Inc. is hiring a diesel mechanic for the 2nd shift. Inspect, repair, and overhaul heavy-duty engines and power systems in trucks and trailers.

You will perform preventative maintenance, document work, and ensure safety and EPA compliance while meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate has 0–5 years’ diesel experience, a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn. CDL is a plus; ownership of hand tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Diesel mechanic with 0–5 years’ experience.
• Strong diagnostic aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL license or ability to obtain one is preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork are essential.
• Dependable and reliable attendance is required.
• Owning your own hand tools is a plus.
• Willingness to learn, professional demeanor.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems.
• Overhaul and repair engines, clutches, transmissions, differentials, and power systems on medium/high-duty trucks.
• Install engines, transmissions, and other components.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Submit complete technical reports and documentation for manufacturers.
• Operate transportation equipment to demonstrate function or malfunction.
• Replace worn or defective parts.
• Rewire electrical or electronic systems.
• Align equipment or machinery.
• Repair non-engine components.
• Install vehicle parts or accessories.
• Troubleshoot equipment or systems operation problems.
• Comply with safety and EPA regulations and internal controls.
• Complete work orders timely with proper labor and parts charges.
• Tag warranty parts with information.
• Other duties as assigned
