Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Eagan, Minnesota to maintain and repair heavy‑duty vehicles on second shift (1:00 pm – 9:30 pm). The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and paid training to keep you ahead.

Earn certifications with a $100 bonus per ASE certification (up to $700 total) and quarterly bonuses up to $500. A CDL‑A is preferred, with a path to career growth within Ryder's logistics team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Identifies root cause of basic failures and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Performs facility maintenance duties.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Works in compliance with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines.
• Performs other support duties as required to support operations.
