Ryder in Harvey, IL is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to join a team responsible for heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.

The role offers a Tuesday–Saturday schedule, second shift 2:00 pm–10:30 pm, and pay of $31.51 per hour with bonuses available for ASE certifications and quarterly performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Vocational or technical certification preferred
• CDL CLASS A preferred
• Basic tools required
• Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the complaint
• Uses Shop Management System and documentation
• Complies with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines
• Performs other support duties as required
