Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Lakeland, FL to provide maintenance and repair on heavy-duty vehicles. The role offers weekly pay, a schedule of Monday–Friday evenings, and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

You’ll work with advanced diagnostics tools and be part of a team that values safety and quality workmanship. Compensation starts at $26.00 per hour with opportunity for certification and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred.
• Must have basic tools.
• Two years or more of classroom training or related work experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the issue.
• Complies with safety, DOT, MOT and company guidelines.
