Job description

DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Completes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision. We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Williston, ND. This role will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
  • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintain own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

(Intermediate):

  • Completes complex internal engine repairs
  • Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision

QUALIFICATIONS

Prefer at least 2 years technician experience. Ability to use computer for diagnostics, follow troubleshooting steps and assist in parts job needs.

  • A current valid license is required for this role
  • Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
