Job Summary

This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop and field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment and components, develop repair plans, determine necessary parts and tools
• Perform repairs safely and correctly, conduct quality assurance testing
• Complete reports for parts, tooling, service, and work orders
• Communicate repair progress with supervisors
• Manage parts and tools through company systems
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and proper care of tools and equipment
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies
• Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D., or an Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or four years of apprenticeship experience
• Experience, knowledge, and competence determine Technician classification

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving parts, fumes, airborne particles, weather, extreme temperatures, and noise. Safety is a priority.
