Job summary

DATTCO in Westport, CT is seeking a Diesel Technician for our School Bus Fleet Maintenance department. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles, and complete repair orders with parts usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, trade school or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Hold, or be eligible to possess, a CDL license.
• Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles.
• Complete required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage.
• Make road calls.
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor.

DATTCO currently has a full-time diesel technician opening in our School Bus Fleet Maintenance department.
