Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in the United States seeks Diesel Technicians to diagnose and repair diesel vehicles, assist drivers with roadside services, and perform preventative maintenance. The role requires lifting 75+ pounds and working in varying temperatures while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.

You will work a rotating day/night schedule and may need to obtain a Department of Transportation medical card, with Love's covering training or related costs.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel vehicles or engines.
• Ability to assist roadside services and advise customers.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures in a quick-service setting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
• Assist customers with roadside services and provide preventative maintenance.
• Move and lift 75+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.
• Prioritize safety and customer satisfaction per company policies.
• Work a rotating day/night schedule as needed.
• Possess ability to obtain a medical card through the DOT (paid by Love's).

Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components


• Assist customers with roadside services


• Provide preventative maintenance services


• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.


• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.


• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.


• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love's)
