Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in the United States seeks a Diesel Technician to troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues, assist drivers with roadside services, and perform preventative maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

You will lift up to 75 pounds, work in varying temperatures, follow safety policies, and rotate day and night shifts. Company offers tuition assistance, health coverage after 30 days, 401(k) match, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience performing routine and light repairs on diesel vehicles or heavy equipment.
• Ability to diagnose basic mechanical issues and perform maintenance tasks.
• Comfort with providing courteous service to customers and professional drivers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues in diesel equipment such as engines, electrical systems, and wheel-end assemblies.
• Assist customers with roadside services and on-site support.
• Provide preventative maintenance services to diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Lift and move up to 75 pounds and operate in varying temperatures.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure customer and employee safety.
• Work a rotating schedule that includes day and night shifts.

Diesel Technicians work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better.

Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components


• Assist customers with roadside services


• Provide preventative maintenance services


• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.


• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.


• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.


• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love's)
