Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Diesel Technician in Iowa to troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues, assist customers with roadside services, and perform preventive maintenance. You will move and lift 75+ pounds and work in varying temperatures while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction.

Expect a rotating day/night schedule and benefits including tuition assistance, PTO, 401(k) match, and comprehensive insurance. DOT medical card requirements may be supported by Love's.

• Always put safety and customer satisfaction first, following safety policies and procedures
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love's)

Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components


• Assist customers with roadside services


• Provide preventative maintenance services


• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.


• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.


• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.


• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love's)
