Job summary

Coffman Truck Sales is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks in our Aurora, IL shop. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems, using OEM training and modern diagnostic equipment.

We value skilled technicians, offer paid OEM manufacturer training, uniforms, and a team‑oriented environment with opportunities for advancement. Full-time schedule with rotating Saturday hours supports work‑life balance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of diesel repair experience preferred.
  • Experience working on commercial trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, or fleet equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Cummins, Allison, Volvo, or Isuzu engines is preferred.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspension, steering, and air brake systems.
  • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift heavy components and work safely in a shop environment.

  • Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and fleet equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and OEM training to service engines and components.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure quality workmanship and safety.

Schedule

Full-Time

  • Monday-Friday (7:30AM- 5PM)
