Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Saginaw, Michigan.

• Hourly Pay: $25.00 per hour
• Sign-On Bonus: Ryder pays $2000 at 30 days and $2000 at 90 days
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Hours: Second shift, 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance like oil changes, brake and tire work
• At least 2 years of classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred

• This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become an employee, you must:
• Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Conduct standard inspections and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes and perform repairs
• Replace defective components
• Assist with facility maintenance
• Interact with customers/drivers to understand issues
• Use shop management systems and documentation
• Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
• Support operations as needed, including service island duties
