• Hourly Pay: $31.35 per hour
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 each quarter

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including:

Routine preventive maintenance, basic diagnostics, repairs including AC and electrical systems; 3+ years relevant experience preferred; valid CDL Class A required.

• Additional certifications as required by location

Additional requirements include:

• Minimum 2 years of experience with heavy and medium-duty equipment repairs and diagnostics
• Computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse
• Must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check, and motor vehicle check

Responsibilities

• Vehicle maintenance and repairs, including preventive and diagnostic work
• Perform detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
• Use shop management systems and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Mentor lower-level technicians
• Access and utilize maintenance documents
• Support operations, including service island support
• Complete OEM diagnostic courses as required
