Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in Martinsburg, WV is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair light mechanical issues and assist drivers and customers with roadside services. This role emphasizes safety, preventative maintenance, and a customer‑first approach in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with diagnosing and repairing light mechanical issues.
• Ability to assist customers with roadside services.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues (wheel-end, electrical, suspensions, A/C, engine components).
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Move and lift 75+ pounds in tight spaces.
• Work in various temperatures.
• Follow safety policies to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
• Rotating day/night shifts as needed.
• Coordinate with DOT for medical card (paid by Love’s).

Job Functions

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters
• Ability to work in various temperatures
• Always put safety and satisfaction of customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s)
