Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is seeking a Diesel Technician to join a fast-paced environment where you will service customers and drivers, ensuring safe, reliable travel. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel equipment while delivering friendly service across locations.

The role involves working rotating day/night shifts, lifting heavy loads, and adhering to safety standards. DOT medical card may be obtained with employer support, contributing to career growth within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Experience with light mechanical issues and routine maintenance.
• Ability to interact with customers and drivers in a professional manner.
• Capable of moving and lifting 75+ pounds in tight spaces.
• Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters
• Ability to work in various temperatures
• Always put safety and satisfaction of customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s)
