Compensation and Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $34.03 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
• Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
• Hours: Second Shift Tuesday - Friday 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification or Post Secondary degree preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance, diagnostics, AC, and electrical systems (3+ years preferred)
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred
• All other certifications as required by location
• Minimum 2 years of experience with heavy and medium duty equipment repairs
• Knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months, pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and component replacements
• Perform facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
• Use Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Comply with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Mentor junior technicians
• Access and use maintenance documents and diagnostic tools
