Description

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in Indianapolis, IN.

You Will Make An Impact In The Following Ways

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Engage in ongoing development and certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Basic maintenance and repair skills
• Engine and transmission replacement experience
• Engine overhauls
• All aspects of chassis work, including brakes, steering, and suspension
• Electrical experience is a plus

Qualifications

This position involves troubleshooting and repairing Cummins engines and chassis from various manufacturers.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
• Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
• Subject to Federal Transit Administration drug testing requirements
• A current valid license is required
• Must have a clean 5-year motor vehicle report
• Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience
• Compliance with DOT driving regulations required
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include options like 401(k), pension, health insurance, HSA, and more.
