Job Description

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Diesel Technician for a company based in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and operating Diesel Trucks.

Pay Rate

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour or DOE

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Pay compensation is based on experience, knowledge, and certifications.

Diesel Technician Duties and Responsibilities

1. Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including tasks like routine maintenance, diagnosing problems, and performing repairs on engines, transmissions, and other mechanical and electrical systems.
2. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint issues.
3. Repair or replace faulty parts and components.
4. Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly.
5. Follow all motor vehicle repair shop regulations and standards.

Diesel Technician Qualifications and Requirements

1. 5 years of Diesel experience.
2. 5 years of welding/fabrication.
3. Must have own tools and be able to work independently.
4. Computer Diagnostics preferred.
5. Able to diagnose medium duty diesel engines, as well as gas engines.
6. Repair knowledge of Power Train to include differentials, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, PTO’s, and wheel ends.
7. Able to test/diagnose/repair Electrical systems including starters, alternators, HVAC systems, steering systems, electronics to include ECM’s, EU’s, sensors, etc., brake systems including ABS, air and hydraulic, suspension systems (spring and air).
