Job summary

Hendrickson Fire Rescue is seeking experienced level A/B Diesel Technicians to repair and maintain emergency vehicles in a family-owned setting. Join a team that values your expertise and offers professional growth in a fast-growing shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in professional diesel repair, preferably with emergency vehicles.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to fabricate or modify parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and other heavy-duty systems on emergency vehicles
• Conduct vehicle maintenance including tire service, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, and electrical diagnostics
• Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Fabricate or modify parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques as needed
• Follow safety protocols diligently while performing repairs and maintenance tasks
• Document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately in service records
