Required Skills & Experience:

• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, components, and accessories (gasoline, diesel, propane, electric, and natural gas)
• Ability to diagnose problems and solutions quickly
• Willingness to mentor fellow coworkers

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Bobcat brand skid steers
• Experience with concrete-specific machinery such as rollback trucks and forklifts
• Welding experience (not required: certified tech or certified welder)
• Vehicle and semi-tractor/trailer experience

Job Description:

A top construction client is looking for a Mechanic to join their Equipment Branch for a direct placement opportunity. The main responsibilities are split as follows: 80% repairing/servicing broken equipment and 20% mentoring, cleaning, and paperwork. The candidate should have experience managing inventory, ordering parts, overhauling components (engines, transmissions, undercarriages, electrical, cooling, and braking systems), and using computerized diagnostic equipment to identify and fix mechanical problems. Ideally, the candidate has around 7-10 years of experience maintaining diesel engine equipment.
