The role involves responding to service requests, performing preventive maintenance, and diagnosing engines, transmissions, and chassis components. A clean driving record is required, with CDL Class A a plus; high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair trucks to ensure safety and reliability for customers and drivers.
• Interact with customers and respond to service requests.
• Use basic computer skills to log repairs and track data.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailer equipment.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, and chassis components.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Perform vehicle diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Truckway’s technician training.
• Pickup/deliver equipment for maintenance.

Responsibilities For Diesel Technicians / Mechanics

• Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for customers and drivers
