Job summary
KanEquip invites high school students to join a Service Internship I program aimed at exploring a career as a diesel technician. Participants will learn the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to diagnose and repair agricultural and construction equipment during the 2026-2027 school year or Summer 2027.
You will contribute by developing skills in diagnosing hydraulic/electrical systems, engines, and fuel systems, using online parts and service information systems, and supporting service
Qualifications
- High school student exploring a path to become a diesel technician.
- Desire to attend Agriculture Power/Technology, Diesel & Heavy Equipment programs.
- Interest in diagnosing and repairing agricultural and construction equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and have reliable transportation.
- Good communication with parts, sales and service teams.
- Willingness to travel to KanEquip locations when needed.
Responsibilities
- Understand KanEquip mission, vision, and service goals.
- Develop skills to diagnose/repair hydraulic and electrical systems, engines, and fuel systems.
- Work with online parts and service information systems.
- Complete reports/forms for service operations accurately and timely.
- Assist other diesel technicians and departments to deliver value and service.
- Engage in training, mentoring, and feedback surveys.
