Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1–2 years automotive/diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Team player with ability to work outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Must follow Penske safety policies and DOT rules and pass screenings

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Using Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Performing preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas and diesel vehicles
• Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
• Taking on other projects as assigned by supervisor
