Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in McDonough, GA is hiring a Diesel Technician Trainee. You will train on heavy-duty diesel equipment with on-the-job paid training and weekly pay. Earn pay increases through each trainee stage while receiving benefits after 30 days and a retirement plan option.

Position offers a structured training program, 2nd shift hours (11:30 am – 8:00 pm), and opportunities for advancement through the Technician Training Development Program. Prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy duty vehicles into or out of yard, wash bay, service shop, or delivered to rental shop.
• Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units as required by company policies and procedures.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies; perform some facility maintenance.
