Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our team. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a safety-conscious environment, coordinating with the Service Advisor and maintaining internal standards.

You will work in a team-focused setting, perform diagnostic testing, and develop repair plans while contributing to a high-quality customer experience and safety-first operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or trade school training completed.
• Willingness to expand professional knowledge through training.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Own tools investment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and communicate results to Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts and mechanical/electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Recommend TA services during inspection reviews.
• Maintain the safety of customers and employees.
